PinIQ ("the app") is a mobile application designed to collect and track your personal pinball scores. It is designed specifically as a personal tool, so it does not require an internet connection of any kind. It's developed by Uchendu Nwachuku and a couple of partners (collectively "us", "we" or "the developers".) This is a summary of the information the app collects and what we do with it.
To make things clearer, this document addesses the following classes of data separately:
- Information about the user ("you")
- Information about your device
- Information about the app
- Information collected for basic app functionality
Information about you
The app collects your name and email address when you submit feedback. It does not collect any information about you for any other reason.
We use your name and email address to respond to your feedback as submitted through the app. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Information about your device
The app collects information about your device. This includes, but is not limited to:
- The brand and model of the device
- The operating system name and version it runs
- Its screen size and resolution
We use this information to help us determine the kinds of devices the app is running on, so we can make better decisions about testing and optimizing it. For example, we might see that a majority of our users are running large-screen devices, so we might decide to change the app to make better use of those kinds of devices.
Information about the app
The app collects information about how you use it, such as when you launch it, how long you run it, which screens you use, when you perform certain tasks and when the app crashes.
We collect and use this information to help improve the app, by responding to crash reports and adding or changing features based on aggregated usage statistics.
Rarely, we may share specific event logs with carefully-selected third-parties for consulting purposes, but in these cases, we will make sure to remove any information that could be used to identify you.
Information collected for basic app functionality
When you submit a new pinball score, the app collects your location and a photo that you capture or select.
We do not collect this information at any time. It remains on your device and is never sent to us.
We have plans to update the app in future with social and competition features, which will require us to begin collecting information such as your name, location, the photos you take and the scores you submit. When we implement these features, we will update this policy as needed, and we will inform you of the updated policy through a prominent message within the app. We will only enable these features after explicitly requesting and obtaining your permission.

Thanks for reading, and enjoy the app.
